After a long three day run, Hale’s Belles is laid up in blue water on the Gulf Coast awaiting her next Journey across the big pond known as The Gulf of Mexico. Another 8 locks and 450 miles down the Tenn-Tom waterway with some raging rivers, lots of logs and after dark navigating made for a very interesting trip. It is this next part of the journey that always becomes our favorite part as we travel along the gulf coast, make our way down the west coast of Florida and into the southern and more tropical climate.
A small Alligator was the only welcoming crew as we landed well after dark deep down on Tenn-Tom Waterway
